How to Sign Up for Binance
Binance is home to 100’s of different cryptocurrencies. It’s known as a major landing site for newly released ICO coins. As that’s where all the trading frenzy is right now, there’s no denying the fact that many crypto traders find an appeal in trading at Binance.
Why You Should Sign Up Now
Binance is the fastest growing crypto exchange in the world. Their user count went from 2 million to 6 million between December 2017 and January 2018.
The site has hundreds of coins you can trade. Most likely, while day trading crypto there will be an altcoin investment opportunity that appeals to you here. There’s also a good possibility that new coins and freshly traded ICOs will launch on Binance in their early trading days.
When you spot a hot coin you absolutely need to invest in that’s only on Binance (or more difficult exchanges) you’ll be ready to buy. You don’t want to slow yourself down as the price can have momentous moves when trading first launches on in-demand altcoins.
Furthermore, you might be aware of the many great contests that Binance runs. You have chances to win coins (thousands of dollars worth), electronics and even new cars. The XMAS 2017 first-place prize for their first trading competition was a 2018 Maserati 3.0T Levante Classic.
Opening a Binance Account
Go to Binance and press the “Register” button in the top-right corner.
Recommendation: We advise you to bookmark this website. There are many phishing sites, some more sophisticated than others, which target Binance users. The same is true for all crypto sites and even the ones where you don’t hold your coins, because hackers know even login credentials can be a gateway to stealable cryptocurrency funds.
Fill out the form that shows up.
You must provide:
- Email address
- Referral ID (if applicable)
Press the “Register” button and complete the human verification task.
In this case the slider needed to be moved to a certain spot. After completing the task Binance even gives a fun stat about your verification task speed. Nothing important, but still cool.
Next, an email verification will be sent to the address you provided.
Find the email in your inbox. Check your spam if it’s not there. Make sure to mark Binance as a trusted sender if so; be careful, many phishing email scams target crypto exchange users. If you’re not sure how to do this, click the “How to set?” button and Binance will explain the process to you.
Press the ‘Verify Email’ button
Little note: Binance’s own email tells you to make sure you are visiting https://www.binance.com but you should take it a step further; check that the page you’re visiting has its HTTPS license. This extra precaution will further ensure you that you’re not on a Binance phishing site.
Next, you will be prompted to log in to your account. The same type of human verification will be presented. Again, they will give you a score and the percentage of users you were faster than.
Binance will show you a list of safety precautions to follow. Do read this, it’s for your own good.
Press the checkmark box next to each of these five safety tips. After that, press “I Understand, Continue >>”
Setup 2-Factor Authentication
A hacker would need to gain access to your phone to be able to access your account if you have 2FA security enabled. You can either do so through the Google Authenticator app or via SMS-based 2FA. Select the one that you wish to set up and follow the steps that are shown to you. Do this now, because you’ll regret it later if a thief suddenly clears out your account.
Verifying Yourself for Higher Limits
To become a verified user, you must provide:
- Your full name
- Your gender
- The country where you live
- A photo ID (government-issued) or passport
- A selfie picture of you holding your ID
As a new member you will be able to withdraw up to 2 BTC per day. Your withdrawal limit every 24 hours after submitting documentation to verify yourself will be 100 BTC.
The signup process is done and now you can deposit any coins and start trading. Go under the Funds tab and select the coin you want to deposit. Use the “Copy to Clipboard” feature to get the address to send your coins to so you don’t make a mistake on the transfer. Remember, if you send your coins to the wrong address you won’t be able to retrieve them.
